Archazia’s Island Game Dev Digest

Hello Illumineers! Your friendly (local if you live in Seattle) dev team is here to walk you through some of the most exciting cards in Archazia’s Island: 5 of the dual ink super rare cards!

Dual ink cards are powerful because each ink has certain limitations, but by combining multiple inks you can get combinations of abilities that are otherwise impossible. All that power comes at a cost, though: you can only use the card if your deck matches both of its ink types.

The wrath of Te Ka – Elemental Terror  is truly terrible to behold. At 12 Strength and 12 Willpower, Te Ka has the highest stats ever seen in Lorcana! This card also takes an Amethyst mechanic, exerting opposing characters, and combines it with the power of Ruby ink to banish them instead. Use with cards like Elsa - The Fifth Spirit to banish a single character or Anna - Mystical Majesty to banish your opponent's entire board. And new cards like Madam Mim - Cheating Spellcaster, can allow you to banish a character every turn! All of this power comes at a massive cost of 10 ink. But with the shift keyword, you can shift onto Te Ka, Lava Monster, for only 7 and unleash the Elemental Terror several turns earlier!

King Candy - Royal Racer may be the king of sweets, but his ability will make your opponents quite sour! If any of your Racer characters are banished he forces each opponent to banish one of their characters as well. Not only will this make your opponent think twice before they challenge one of your characters, but it also works on your turn! This means that when you use your Racer characters to challenge, you can force your opponent to have to banish one of their characters. Look for racer characters to use with King Candy in Archazia’s Island, or from sets like Shimmering Skies and Azurite Sea.

Prepare to be boarded! One of the galaxy’s meanest pirates, Pete - Space Pirate makes sure your opponent's characters don't sing along with your space shanties. He's certainly one to look after his own crew though, granting all your Pirate characters Resist for all your challenging needs. Gather your crew with Pirates from Azurite Sea like Mr. Smee - Captain of the Jolly Roger and go loot the seven starry seas!

Mulan - Imperial General is leading the charge! Not even the most evasive of characters are safe from Mulan. Her superior tactical knowledge won’t let any opposing army gain the high ground. And by being an exceptional leader, she guides your glimmers to new heights by allowing them to challenge ready characters. Pair her with the ferocious Shere Khan - Menacing Predator, and not only will Mulan help you win the battle, but also the war!

Although Skippy’s mama may say she is “awful nice,” make no mistake, Maid Marian - Badminton Ace has a mean serve. She may enjoy the sporting life behind the castle walls, but Maid Marian is always looking out for her Allies, that is, friends. Her favorite hitting partner, Lady Kluck – Protective Confidant, even becomes a little more protective with Marian around. And if someone tries to mess with any of her party guests such as Pluto - Guard Dog or Chicha - Dedicated Mother, Maid Marian has a dropshot ready to serve up a little payback.
